Oil on Canvas
14'' x 18''

This one I had to proof. The best picture of it I have has lots of specular highlights on the brushstrokes due to poor lighting on my part. I used Painter12 to do the touch-up and then saved to the web with Photoshop.
Cheers!

How long did that painting take, if you don't mind me asking?

I don't mind at all, but it's hard to say. If I'm working for me I never log hours and I can put things down for months before attacking them again. This one was for me. I'd say, from ready blank canvas to signature took 15 to 20 days of painting. Some days not so good on progress while others were awesome and were very long. When you blend to this kind of finish anything out of place or 'Painterly' is going to look wrong. It is frustrating and also very satisfying. This doesn't include the model's time or design/build/compostion time, framing and varnishing but it does include the learning curve such as mixing the colors and trying to work out a the best color scheme. This one went well while "Thoughts of a Lover" took six weeks. I couldn't figure out what it was trying to teach me. :)

Thank you, very much. This sort of thing fascinates the hell out of me. I know the feeling. Sometimes the smallest detail, takes me the most amount of time and in the end nobody even really notices it.
